Hotel Peninsular- Porto

Just a fine choice for a lightning stop in Porto with extraordinarily good value for money. My partner and I enjoyed the cozy breakfast area every morning, made starting our day so much nicer. Bring a water bottle, as it can get pretty hot in the rooms without proper cooling.

The location couldn't be more particularly good and magnificent in the center of the town. In the evening we visited Costume Bistro, set not very far from the hotel. We had a very good breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice and delicious preserves, for instance included.

I stayed 4 nights and will be returning here soon when visiting Portugal, loved it.

A charming stay in Porto's heart

The location is unbeatable, with access to all major sites. The breakfast spread made mornings good, with fresh pastries that kept me going all day.

Helpful staff who addressed some of the issues promptly.

The towels and linens were yellowed and stained, made me question their cleanliness. There was also an unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom that lingered .

Staying at peninsular was a delight! The hotel is just 100 meters from the tourist office and super close to the train station. Our super beautiful double room was always clean. The breakfast, while basic, was enough to kickstart our mornings.

The hotel has an old world charm, really takes you back in time. The decor feels nostalgic, almost like a scene from a classic movie. The second-floor lobby is particularly cozy. My room was much bigger than expected and well-maintained, a pleasant surprise after reading some negative reviews. The location is literally next to São Bento station. The WiFi was a bit spotty in my room at the end of the hall, so I found myself spending a lot of time in the lobby to stay connected. The pillows were not the best. They felt lumpy and uncomfortable, detracting from my overall comfort during sleep. Still, the overall experience was quite enjoyable, especially given the price.

Location right in the heart of the city made exploring easy. Staff welcomed me warmly late at night. Breakfast was simple but satisfying.

The signage for room numbers was tricky to find. Some lamp lighting in my room wasn't working.

It was a good match for our getaway in Porto with reasonable value. Helpful staff made our mornings pleasant, especially during breakfast. Enjoy using the metro nearby for easy access to explore the city.

This place has a lot of old-school vibes, which I totally loved! The room was cozy and quiet, and I really enjoyed the breakfast in the bar area every morning. Just wished the WiFi was a bit better since I had some trouble connecting at times. Still, the location is perfect for exploring!

The Peninsular offers a charming vintage atmosphere and is conveniently located just minutes from the heart of Porto. The bed provided a nice night's sleep, and the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. Certain areas, like the WiFi and some furnishings, could use attention.

This place is centrally located, just 300 meters away from a beautiful baroque church.

This place ticked all the boxes, we had a great one-night stay, the location was fantastic near restaurants and cafes, close to the city center.
